22 années de carrière, vous avez bien lu, ce pilote hors-pair a fait ses débuts au volant d’une SAAB 96. Digne dauphin d’un certain Stig, son modèle, avec qui il avait la même façon de piloter les tractions, et notamment la GOLF avec laquelle il remportera son premier titre en mondial en Groupe A (1986) et champion FIA des « 2 roues motrices » en 87 devant un certain Jean RAGNOTTI. Sur que si la régie avait un petit peu plus engagé la R11, la bataille pour le titre aurait pu être différente. Sur les confrontations directes, Jeannot a été derrière qu’une seule fois au MONTE CARLO chez lui. Sinon notre acrobate l’a dominé aux Portugal, Grece, France et Italie. De quoi avoir des regrets. Pilote éclectique, malgré son air juvénile, il a exprimé son talent sur n’importe quelle voiture, MITSU, SUBARU, VW, HYUNDAI, SKODA, TOYOTA et j’en passe. Vainqueur de 6 épreuves en mondial, nous regrettons son absence depuis 2002. Un très grand pilote !!!

30° pilote de tous les temps, 4° pilote suédois, épreuve favorite : l’AUSTRALIE, voiture préférée :l’IMPREZA, terrain de prédilection : la NEIGE.

Anecdote : Alors que Jeannot était derrière au Monte, lors d’une interview, on lui a demandé une explication à laquelle il a répondu : c’est le mois du blanc ! .Il s’est bien rattrapé à l’épreuve suivante (2° au Portugal ndlr)
